Green Drinks
Pasquotank River, NC
Green Drinks is an informal gathering of individuals interested in an array of local and global environmental issues. Join us for socializing, discussion, networking, and sharing of thoughts, ideas, and action plans. Some of our Green Drinks are unstructured and open, and some target a specific issue with a featured speaker followed by a Q&A session. Topics range from renewable energy, climate change, reduction in use of plastics, and recycling, to the importance of pollinators, native plants, natural shorelines, river water quality, and more.
5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15
Where: Seven Sounds Brewing Company, Second floor conference room
Guest speaker: Rodney Johnson
Topic: What’s Up With Our Waterways?
Green Saves Green member Rodney Johnson will talk about the status of the regional water quality testing program and when we might expect some results. We’ve had a few algal bllooms already this year in the Little and Pasquotank rivers, so this is a very timely presentation.
Everyone welcome! Just show up.
