Programs

  • Albemarle Watershed Watch

Our teams of Watershed Watchers monitor water quality in our local creeks and rivers.

  • Litter Cleanups

We organize and provide supplies for community-wide and campus cleanups. Working together we can keep our neighborhoods, roadsides, waterways, and parks clean and beautiful.

  • Youth Environmental Education

Our tree plantings, student water quality testing, litter cleanups, recycling programs, and more, offer hands-on learning.

  • Paddle Trails

We are working with various partners, organizations, and public officials to develop a network of paddle trails with multiple public access points on rivers and creeks in Pasquotank and Camden counties.

  • Fenwick-Hollowell Wetlands & Pasquotank River Boardwalk Trail

Green Saves Green has adopted a trail!

  • Renewable Energy

We support local solar and wind projects.

  • Native Landscaping & Pollinators

We encourage people to plant North Carolina native plants. And anybody can have a pollinator garden - we’re happy to teach you how!

  • Living with Less Plastic

Single-use plastics are the #1 item we consistently find in our litter cleanups. We’re working with community partners to find solutions.

  • Community Grants

The Green Saves Green Community Grant program is for community members who have an idea for a local environmental project, a plan, and want to take action.
