Follow the shady pathway through a rare pocosin wetland to a scenic boardwalk along the upper Pasquotank River. Native trees and plants are identified with trailside signage. Many species of birds and wildlife can be spotted along the trail. Don’t miss the beaver lodge! Read a book, paint a picture, or just relax and enjoy the scenery in one of several gazebos along the riverfront. The Fenwick Hollowell Trail is part of the Kids in Parks Program, a national campaign by the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation to promote children’s health. Four trail entrances behind College of the Albemarle. Free and open to the public.
